Last night we premiered 'Body and Forgetting' choreographed by Liz Roche for the opening night of the Dublin Dance Festival. We were thrilled to perform for a sold-out audience and it was great to share what we had been working on for the past few months. It very nearly didnt happen when I got injured during the dress rehearsal (nothing major - just a twisted pelvis, psoas spasm and a popped rib!) but the physio was fantastic and gave me the go-ahead to perform. Yes, it was painful! But with the adrenaline of the show pumping through my blood, it wasn't too bad. One more show this evening and I think there's still a few tickets left. Here's a review from festival blogger Rachel Donnelly if you want to find out more - http://www.dublindancefestival.ie/news/ddf2012-opens-with-elegiac-elegance/
Today we were straight into rehearsals for Prompted Breathless which opens in just four days...! No pressure then... except when Sky Arts want to include the piece in a documentary they are making and want to film rehearsals. Was lovely to have them in the studio with us, and the programme will be out at the end of May. Will keep you posted!
